One of the highlights of the launch of IBREAM in Edinburgh on 17 April 2008 was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between IBREAM and Lapalala Wilderness for the establishment of the African Centre of Excellence for research in mammalian reproductive biology. The Centre will be based at Kolobe in the Lapalala Wilderness

Generous Donation
Kolobe will gradually be expanded and modified to accommodate IBREAM’s research programmes, staff and graduate students, a remarkably generous donation from the Parker family in Cape Town for the use and further development of this facility was warmly applauded and recognized at the launch.
